Sofitel has opened the brand’s largest-ever hotel, overlooking the Nile River, in Cairo.
Sofitel Cairo Downtown Nile is located near Tahrir Square and is a short distance away from the Cairo Opera House, Giza pyramid complex, Cairo Citadel medieval fortress and Coptic Cairo.
It features 615 rooms and suites across 24 floors – each incorporating French and Egyptian designs. The rooms have a private balcony with views of the Nile, a spa-like bathroom with a rainfall shower and luxury aromatherapy amenities. The suites have separate living rooms and balconies and a 24-hour butler service.
There are five restaurants and bars and a nightclub. The spa has a jacuzzi, saunas, private couples’ rooms and a selection of treatments that blend French spirit with traditional Egyptian medicine. Other features include an outdoor pool and fully equipped fitness centre.
Guests of the Luxury Club rooms and suites can join Club Millésime to access personal butlers and complimentary breakfast, beverages and delicacies throughout their visits.
For events or business meetings, the hotel offers 17 spaces including ballrooms that can host up to 1 000 guests.
