Home* Suite Hotels’ first hotel in Rosebank has adopted an adorable mascot and Hazel has become a hit!
The two-year-old Staffie-mix was adopted from Oscars Arc via the Woof Project, and made her social media debut when the hotel asked followers on Instagram to give her a name.
Hotel Manager and adoptive mother, Hilois Greyling, said she was initially reluctant to carry out the task of finding a suitable pet for the hotel. “It’s not every day that you are tasked with adopting a dog for the ‘office’,” she said. But Hazel’s calm and patient nature has been a perfect match for the hotel.
Hazel can be found living the high life on the hotel’s social media pages and is available too for any morning run or afternoon walk. The pet-friendly hotel has even added a doggy-treat jar at reception because guests are always trying to sneak her a nibble.
Guests can keep up with Hazel on the hotel’s Instagram during the lockdown period, under her new hashtag #HomeAloneHazel .
