Bonnie Smith has recently been appointed general manager of FCM Travel Solutions Southern Africa.
Bonnie joined Flight Centre 16 years ago and has worked her way up the ranks in roles in operations and technology. She worked in both retail travel and corporate travel before becoming gm Technology of the Group.
“Bonnie’s experience and accomplishments within the Flight Centre Travel Group make her a great match for this position at the helm of FCM Travel Solutions. Thanks to her operational and technology background, Bonnie is ideally suited to drive the brand forward in these challenging times by bringing technology closer to the customer,” says Andrew Stark, md MEA of Flight Centre Travel Group.
Bonnie says she is looking forward to guiding FCM through the challenges of COVID-19 and taking the brand to the next level through technology and automation, while continuing to uphold FCM’s trusted product and service offerings.
“Through my years of experience, both internationally and in South Africa, I’ve learned how important it is to combine the latest technology with a personal touch. On this new journey, I’m excited to be able to do more for our customers by ensuring I’m making their travels easier and more enjoyable through technology, complemented with a personal touch. That is what I stand for,” said Bonnie.
She is taking over the role of Nicole Adonis, who left the company in February to pursue new opportunities.
