KLM unveiled it’s Forest of the Future last month at
the Mother of Peace Community in Johannesburg. The
forest covers over 2 000sqm of land and will become a
sustainable food source for the orphanage and Diepsloot
communities. As it stands, the forest contains 270 trees,
2 818 herb shrubs and 13 550 plants. Pictured at the
inauguration are (from left): Wouter Vermeulen, general
manager, Air France KLM Southern Africa; Erik Swelheim,
chief financial officer, KLM, and Chris Wilde, executive
director, Food and Trees for Africa.
