To strengthen Cape Town International Airport’s (CPT) operations, Acsa has secured two additional back-up generators to ensure uninterrupted operations during critical periods and reduce the risk of future disruptions.
This comes after power was fully restored at CPT on January 22 following disruptions caused by a damaged electrical cable, as reported by Travel News.
“The necessary repairs were successfully completed and power was fully restored within three hours of the incident. Acsa can confirm that CPT is operating as normal, as all systems are now functioning as expected and fuelling operations have resumed without issue,” the airport company said.
