Airlink has announced that some of its Johannesburg and Cape Town services to Maputo are having to be suspended and/or combined due to the unrest in Mozambique. The airline says it will continue to monitor the situation daily and make the necessary adjustments to schedules and customers will be informed via the app or via SMS. The flights currently affected, as of December 24, are the night-stop flights from Cape Town and Johannesburg into Maputo and the early morning departures from Maputo back to the two SA cities. Normal services are expected to resume as soon as the situation around the Maputo airport allows.
Airlink says that none of its other Mozambique services - to Beira, Nampula, Pemba, Tete or Vilanculos - are currently affected.
