Flight Centre Travel Group South Africa has appointed Zay Ferguson-Nair as its new Customer Experience Leader.
Ferguson-Nair joined Flight Centre Travel Group’s Bedford Centre store in 2012, spending almost seven years in retail travel before joining Corporate Traveller, first as an Operations Consultant, and then as a Customer Success Manager.
“Flight Centre has been my professional home for well over a decade, and my passion lies in creating travel experiences that truly add value for our customers,” said Ferguson-Nair.
Emirates strengthens commercial leadership
Emirates has strengthened its commercial leadership team, with the appointment of Rashid Alardha as VP Regional Clusters Sub-Saharan Africa.
He was previously Country Manager of Sri Lanka and Maldives.
Alardha joined Emirates in 2009 and has gained extensive country management experience across eight countries in the Middle East, Africa, Far East, West Asia and Indian Ocean.
New leader for IATA global advocacy
On September 1, IATA appointed Thomas Reynaert as Senior VP, External Affairs. Reynaert will be responsible for coordinating IATA’s global advocacy efforts.
He joins IATA from IBM where he was VP of Government and Regulatory Affairs for Europe, the Middle East and Africa from 2023. Previously, he was founding Managing Director of Airlines for Europe (A4E) and ran A4E from 2016 to 2023.
