Economy-class passengers travelling on Delta Air Lines’ transatlantic routes will be paying more from April next year.
TravelMole claims that the airline will start charging passengers for checked bags on its lowest-priced fares. One checked bag will cost an economy-class passenger $50 (R700) while a second bag would cost $100 (R1 400). Passengers in the main cabin or Comfort+ seats will still qualify for one free checked bag.
