CEMAIR has resumed
more flights, following its
grounding by the South
African Civil Aviation
Authority earlier this month.
Flights that have been
resumed include those
between Johannesburg and
Bloemfontein, Margate, and
Hoedspruit; and between
Cape Town and Hoedspruit.
The Cape Town-Hoedspruit
flight is via Johannesburg.
The flights are being
operated by a third-party
operator.
CemAir ceo, Miles van der
Molen, told TNW that the
airline was making progress
and hoped to be operating
its own aircraft on the
routes by the weekend, and
hoped to be fully operational
some time next week.
Michelle Minnaar of
Harvey World Travel
Plettenberg Bay, says she
will continue to book CemAir
when it is fully operational
because of the convenience
of flying out of Plettenberg
Bay. However, she says
she was disappointed at
how CemAir handled the
situation, with nothing
properly communicated to
the trade.
