British Airways is offering First cabin seats on its older B747-400 aircraft at Club World prices on selected routes, including Cape Town.
A BA spokesperson told eTNW: “As part of our investment in new aircraft, we are retiring a number of our B747-400s. Currently a very small number in operation carry the old First cabin, which will be withdrawn next year. Our current First is extremely popular with customers and they have grown accustomed to it. We understand that the latest First is more modern and desirable than the older version, which is why we are offering a special fare for customers to take advantage of, with the older First cabins priced as Club World.”
The affected routes are as follows:
BA 85/84 Vancouver
BA 275/274 Las Vegas
BA289/288 Phoenix (winter 2014 and summer 2015)
BA43/42 Cape Town winter 2014
BA59/58 Cape Town summer 2015
