Amtrak has resumed its service between Portland, Oregon and Vancouver, British Columbia, for the first time since 2020.
Serving 12 stations in western Washington, customers travelling north can depart Portland at 15h05 – or Seattle at 19h00 – for a 23h00 arrival in Vancouver. The southbound train leaves Vancouver at 06h35 for an 11h00 stop in Seattle and a 14h55 Portland arrival.
Running along the water from British Columbia, through river and mountain vistas in Washington and Oregon, Amtrak’s Cascades route offers views of some of the country’s most distinctive cities and natural attractions.
Amtrak travellers can enjoy large seats with ample leg-room and a baggage policy allowing for two personal items and two carry-on bags per person.
