Norwegian Cruise Line has cancelled sailings on Norwegian Sky from August 2026, in preparation for the ship’s leasing to an Indian cruise line.
NCL notified passengers that the Sun-class ship’s itineraries from August 20, 2026, have been cancelled, reports International Business Times UK.
“Cordelia Cruises, India's leading premium cruise line, has agreed to a long-term charter of Norwegian Sky beginning September 30, 2026, in Dubai, UAE. While we are excited for her new chapter, it does mean, sadly, that to accommodate her timely arrival in Dubai, all Norwegian Sky sailings embarking on or after August 20, 2026, will be cancelled,” the cruise line said in the notice.
Affected passengers will receive a full refund automatically processed to their original form of payment within 30 business days. If they book a future Norwegian cruise between April 15 and December 31, 2026, they will also receive a 10% discount.
Additionally, in 2027, Cordelia will charter the Norwegian Sun, Cordelia Cruises announced on a LinkedIn post.
