Antalya Airport expansion
Antalya Airport in Turkey has completed the first phase of a major expansion.
The international Terminal 2 has grown by 132 000sqm, and the domestic terminal by 38 000sqm.
Operated by a joint venture between Germany’s Fraport AG and Turkey’s TAV Airports Holding, the €850 million (R18,1bn) project also includes new taxiways, a parking facility and upgraded apron infrastructure. A new air traffic control tower will be handed over by the end of 2026.
Travellers can also enjoy upgraded dining options through ‘Best Food for All’, a new joint venture between Fraport and an airport food specialist responsible for operating 29 restaurants at the airport. The restaurants offer snacks, international chains and local Turkish specialities.
