The UK Civil Aviation Authority has granted Norse Atlantic Airways an AOC and Operating Licence to begin direct flights from the United Kingdom.
The Norwegian low-cost carrier is keen to operate between London Gatwick and a number of US destinations, subject to further regulatory approval. The airline says strong demand continues for air travel to and from the UK and the US, the largest transatlantic market in the world.
“The United Kingdom will be a vital part of our network,” says Bjørn Tore Larsen, CEO of Norse Atlantic Airways. “We look forward to ramping up our operations between London and the US ready for our summer 2023 schedule.”
The airline will announce its core 2023 summer schedule early next month, with flights available to book through to October 2023. Other routes will be announced in due course.
Norse Atlantic exclusively operates Boeing 787 Dreamliners and offers two cabins: Economy and Premium.
