Zambia has lifted all COVID-related entry restrictions with immediate effect, according to a communication from the Zambia National Public Health Institute (ZNPHI).
Travellers no longer have to show proof of vaccination or recovery, nor do they need a negative test result for COVID-19.
Nonetheless, the government continues to encourage the population to get vaxxed. “To prevent and control COVID-19, the most sustainable way remains vaccination. Therefore, while we have lifted the need to provide evidence of vaccination or negative disease status, we encourage everyone to be vaccinated,” says Professor Roma Chilengi, DG of the ZNPHI.
