There are new restrictions in place for travellers from South Africa to Turkey with effect from yesterday, July 1. Passengers who have been in South Africa in the 14 days prior to departure date are not permitted to enter Turkey.
Turkish Airlines says that while the airline is not permitted to carry passengers who wish to enter Turkey from South Africa, it can continue to carry passengers who are in transit via Istanbul to a destination in the Turkish Airlines network.
The airline reminds agents that these transiting passengers must comply with the entry requirements of their final destinations regarding tests, etc.
Turkish Airlines’ South African schedules for July 2021 have been finalised and are available on the GDS, according to the airline.
