Etihad Airways announced the introduction of flights to seven new Asian destinations during 2025:
Chiang Mai
From November 3, on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, flights will depart Abu Dhabi at 21h10 and arrive in Chiang Mai at 05h55, the following day. On Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, the return flights will depart Chiang Mai at 08h45 and arrive in Abu Dhabi at 13h00.
Krabi
Starting October 9, daily flights between Abu Dhabi and Krabi will depart at 08h50 and arrive at 18h40. The return flights will depart Krabi at 20h40 and arrive in Abu Dhabi at 00h30 the following day.
Hanoi
From November 3, daily flights will depart Abu Dhabu at 08h50 and arrive in Hanoi at 18h10. The return flight from Hanoi to Abu Dhabi departs at 19h25 and arrives at 00h30 the next day.
Hong Kong
From November 3, on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays, flights will depart Abu Dhabi at 21h45 and arrive in Hong Kong at 08h40 the following day. The return flight, on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, will depart Hong Kong at 19h25 and arrive in Abu Dhabi at 00h15 the next day.
Medan
Effective October 2, on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, flights will depart Abu Dhabi at 21h10 and arrive in Medan at 07h10 the following day. On Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, the return flight from Medan to Abu Dhabi will depart at 09h05 and arrive at 13h00.
Phnom Penh
From October 3, on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays, the flights will depart Abu Dhabi at 21h10 and arrive in Phnom Penh at 07h20 the following day. The return flights, on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, will depart Phnom Penh at 08h40 and arrive in Abu Dhabi at 13h00.
Taipei
From September 7, daily flights between Abu Dhabi and Taipei will depart at 21h45 and arrive 09h50 the following day. The daily return flight will depart Taipei at 19h35 and arrive in Abu Dhabi at 00h15 the next day.
Etihad ups flights to Moscow
Effective October 1, Etihad is adding a third daily flight to Moscow, increasing its frequency from 14 to 21 flights per week.
The new flight will depart Abu Dhabi at 09h00 and arrive in Moscow at 14h05. The return flight departs Moscow at 17h25 and arrives in Abu Dhabi at 00h10 the following day.
ET launches Hanoi services
Ethiopian Airlines has announced a new four-times weekly service to Hanoi, Vietnam, from July 10, with a stopover in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
The new flight will depart Addis Ababa at 22h30 on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays and arrive in Dhaka at 08h25 the following day. It will depart Dhaka at 09h30, arriving in Hanoi at 13h10.
The return flight will depart Hanoi at 14h10 on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays and will arrive in Dhaka at 15h50. It will then depart Dhaka at 16h50, arriving in Addis Ababa at 21h35.
Air France unveils new first-class cabins
Air France will gradually roll out new first-class cabins on some of its Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.
The La Première cabins are three-and-a-half square metres in size and feature a seat and a chaise longue that converts to a two-metre-long bed.
Each suite has two 81cm 4K screens, floor-to-ceiling curtains, noise-cancelling headphones, electrical outlets and wireless charging stations. The side suites have five windows.
Four suites will be introduced on each aircraft with the first operating the Paris-New York-JFK route in the European spring. Other destinations, including Los Angeles, Singapore, and Tokyo-Haneda, will be added during the summer.
ET expands charter service with new Business Jet
Ethiopian Airlines has announced the addition of a Boeing 737-800 aircraft to its fleet, dedicated exclusively to VIP and smaller group charter flights.
This Business Jet will provide flexible, high-end travel solutions tailored to the needs of corporate leaders, diplomats, and private travellers for short- and medium-haul charter operations.
The aircraft has a spacious and luxurious cabin featuring premium seating and interiors. Its customised seating arrangement accommodates 19 passengers for commercial flights and 32 for private operations.
Passengers can also enjoy state-of-the-art in-flight amenities, including an advanced entertainment system displayed on up to 107cm monitors, WiFi connectivity and premium onboard dining tailored to their preferences.
Cathay debuts Aria Suite on Sydney flights
Cathay Pacific’s all-new Aria Suites on its upgraded Boeing 777-300ER aircraft are now operating between Sydney and Hong Kong, following their launch on the London-Hong Kong route in January.
The business-class suite is fully enclosed with sliding doors and features LED lighting, wireless charging, a 61cm 4K TV with Bluetooth audio streaming.
The upgraded aircraft currently operate five times per week on the Hong Kong-Sydney route and will be used regularly from early April.
