After thirty years at The Travel Corporation (TTC), md Teresa Richardson has announced her resignation from the company. Teresa says she is leaving the travel industry and will pursue new interests.
Current head of sales, Kelly Jackson, takes over as TTC md South Africa on November 1.
Teresa said it had been an honour and a privilege to have worked with the Tollman family. “Departing the company in the year it recognises its 100th year of business, and amidst the global pandemic, has been an incredibly difficult decision to make. I do, however, feel that this is the right time to step away, pursue my next chapter and hand over the reins,” she said.
Gavin Tollman, ceo of Trafalgar and CostSaver, said Kelly was a proven, exceptional executive, who had been with the organisation for 12 years and had worked side by side with Teresa since 2008, which ensured a seamless transition.
He said Teresa had been an extraordinary member of the team. “Under her direction we have seen our brands grow and evolve in an ever-changing world. I have enjoyed working with her and understand her decision to look to a new beginning.”
