SAA has resumed operations
to Blantyre, Malawi.
This follows the conclusion
of audit and inspection
process at Chileka
International Airport in
Blantyre. SAA suspended
its operations after it was
found that the airport was
not fully compliant with the
conditions of its operating
licence.
The South African Civil
Aviation Authority informed
SAA on Friday afternoon
that it was satisfied with the
measures they had taken in
response to the situation at
the airport.
“We truly apologise to our
passengers and customers
for the inconvenience
caused by the suspension
of services for the last
two weeks. Safety of our
passengers and crew will
always remain paramount in
our operations,” said SAA
spokesperson, Tlali Tlali.
