Qatar Airways will resume flights to Casablanca and Marrakesh in Morocco from June 30.
The service will be operated by a Boeing 787-8 with 22 business-class and 232 economy-class seats, departing from Doha on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays, according to TradeArabia News Service.
QR1397 will depart from Doha at 09h15, arriving in Casablanca at 15h10. It then departs from Casablanca at 16h30, arriving in Marrakesh at 17h25, according to breakingtravelnews.com. QR1398 will depart from Marrakesh at 18h55, arriving in Casablanca at 19h45, and depart from Casablanca at 21h20, arriving in Doha at 06h30 the following day.
Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive, Akbar Al Baker, said: “The Fifa World Cup 2022 brought Qatar and Morocco together through football and bolstered our cultural and economic cohesion. The flights to Casablanca and Marrakesh solidify our commitment to the Moroccan market and meet a strong demand for connectivity to these two beautiful and historic cities.”
The Casablanca service will operate throughout the summer season, while the Marrakesh service will operate until September 11 as a seasonal tag.
