Universal Orlando to open two budget hotels
UNIVERSAL Parks and Resorts is due to open two budget hotels in
Orlando, Florida, with rooms from $70 (R1 010) a night. The 750-
room Surfside Inn and Suites is due to open in August and a second
2 050-room hotel, Docklands Inn and Suites, will open in 2020.
Together they will make up the Endless Summer Resort and will be
located on the 26-hectare site, previously home to the Wet n’ Wild
water park.
First Habitas hotel to open in Namibia
HABITAS plans to open its first hotel in Africa this year. It will be
situated about an hour’s drive from Hosea Kutako International
Airport in Windhoek. It offers 40 rooms, a state-of-the-art spa, an
education and learning centre, and an events and convention facility.
Splendid Inn Bloemfontein to open next month
PREMIER Hotels & Resorts’ new Splendid Inn Bloemfontein is
scheduled to open in February. The hotel is close to government
departments, sports stadiums and landmarks such as the National
Museum and Supreme Court of Appeal. The property will offer 88
bedrooms, a restaurant, rooftop function area, a lounge, business
centre, and conference facilities capable of accommodating up to
150 delegates.
