A new Zimbabwean start-up airline, Transvaal Africa, has secured an Air Service permit and plans to launch passenger flights on regional routes in the last quarter of this year.
CEO of the airline, Patson Moyo, said the airline would operate from Harare as well as Victoria Falls Airport.
“We are targeting the regional routes for passenger movement, like Harare to Johannesburg, Harare to Dar es Salaam as well as other destinations like Lagos, London, Dubai and Shanghai,” said Moyo.
The airline also plans to operate charter flights between Victoria Falls and regional cities Johannesburg and Cape Town as well as from Victoria Falls to international, long-haul routes such as Berlin, Shanghai and the Middle East in the future.
The airline will begin operations with three leased Boeing aircraft.
