Dropping off family, friends or colleagues at Cape Town's new Civic Centre Bus Station to use the airport shuttle is now even more convenient, after a new drop and go facility has opened close to the bus station.
The facility is situated on DF Malan Drive opposite the Artscape Theatre Centre. It is conveniently close to the Civic Centre Bus Station, which is on Hertzog Boulevard at the DF Malan intersection.
To reach the drop and go from Table Bay Boulevard, take the off-ramp on to the Foreshore and turn left into DF Malan Drive. From Eastern Boulevard, take the turn-off to Hertzog Boulevard, and turn right into DF Malan Drive.
Look out for the yellow signs with the bus symbol on the left-hand side of the road. Passengers can also pay for kerbside parking here should they wish to accompany bus passengers to the Civic Centre Bus Station.
Ronald Kingma, the city’s Manager: Transport for the 2010 FIFA World Cup, says the facility has been set up especially for the World Cup. "We will monitor the usage of the facility to see whether it should continue beyond the World Cup," he says.
