NEW hotel brand, C resorts,
has launched, with its first
property – C Mauritius –
opening last month.
C resorts, a sister brand of
Constance Hotels & Resorts,
is a ‘more youthful’ product
in the four-star segment.
There are plans to open two
C resorts each year over the
next five years, positioned in
the Indian Ocean, Africa and
Southeast Asia.
“Constance Hospitality
Management set itself
the challenge of creating
a new brand to enable
its expansion without
cannibalising Constance
Hotels & Resorts, its
existing brand positioned in
the luxury segment,” says
Michele Abraham, head
of sales and marketing
of African Synergy, which
represents Constance
Hospitality in the SA market.
C resorts aims to attract
a specific target audience
– Generation X – a market
segment largely ignored by
the hospitality industry as
they focus on millennials,
she says. “Gen X, born
between 1964 and 1982,
has real purchasing power
and an appetite for brands
that offer fun wrapped
in four-star-plus levels of
comfort and facilities.”
Agents should look out
for initiatives the brand is
putting in place for the newly
launched C resorts brand,
says Michele.
