Tanzania Airports Authority (TAA) will open a new terminal at Dar es Salaam’s Julius Nyerere International Airport (DAR) in June.
The new terminal is expected make the airport a tourism hub, capable of handling six million passengers per year.
Dar es Salaam, Tanzania's biggest and busiest international airport, will have parking space for 2 075 vehicles; and screening systems capable of processing 2 800 people an hour, translating into an average of 400 people in 10 minutes.
