With the famous Munich Oktoberfest currently taking place, Lufthansa passengers on selected flights will once again see the traditional ‘Trachten’-costumed crew on flights from Munich.
Lufthansa flight attendants recently flew from Munich to Osaka the day before Oktoberfest's official launch. This was followed by the traditional costume flight to Johannesburg on September 30, arriving at OR Tambo International Airport on October 1.
The crew arriving on the newly reintroduced non-stop flight from Munich to Johannesburg experienced a vibrant cultural exchange and took the time to pose for photographs with the local Lufthansa team representatives, who were also dressed in their traditional garments on arrival at the airport. The crew also gathered at Nelson Mandela Square in Sandton on October 2 for another opportunity to celebrate their tradition as they danced and sang together with their South African colleagues.
