VISITORS to the 103-room Legacy Hotels and Resorts' PortsWood Hotel at the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront in Cape Town, can look forward to new-look, high-tech rooms when major refurbishments are completed by the end of October.
Media and promotions co-ordinator for the Legacy group, Diana Martins-da Silva, says the refurbishments - which include the addition of infra-red keyboards and additional telephone lines for modem points in all the rooms - are being introduced with a view to keeping PortsWood up to date "with the latest demands of the international and business traveller".
Other changes include the replacement of furnishings, carpets and curtains as well as the addition of fully-stocked minibars, a wide range of satellite television channels and international plug adapters.
