Future Found Sanctuary, part of the Newmark Hotels and Reserves portfolio, has launched a new series of retreat packages.
The property, in Hout Bay on the slopes of Table Mountain, claims to be Cape Town’s first and only five-star regenerative travel destination.
The new ‘Reset Retreat’ package will be a two-night stay that begins with sage energy smudge, garden elixirs and herbal teas on arrival. Guests can then enjoy a walk around the property’s gardens or a hike to the waterfalls of the Table Mountain National Park.
A sound journey, yoga and guided meditation are also included in the package, along with IV-drip therapy treatments and optional spa treatments. The package concludes with a nutritional workshop on balanced eating.
‘The rejuvenation retreat’ includes time for intention setting and journaling as well as a detoxing treatment in the Hamman room using African-based mud scrubs.
The package includes cold water immersion in the outdoor natural pond, where the water comes from the waterfalls of the Table Mountain National Park. Guests then attend a breath work session, a yoga session and guided meditation followed by a guided foraging walk in the mountains, after which the ingredients will be used in a cooking class.
The ‘African Horizon Retreat’ is a five-day package that is available on request and features all the experiences as well as beading workshops, African dance sessions and drumming.
“People are no longer looking to just book a hotel stay but to regroup, recover and regenerate. To meet this demand, we have put together a series of small group wellness retreats, hosted at Future Found Sanctuary, that are designed with a great mix of physical, emotional and mental modalities to help people reset during their stay with us,” said Steve Uria, Newmark’s Wellness Director.
