EZ SHUTTLE has introduced an
international transfer booking
product and recently celebrated
over 200 transfers processed through
the new platform.
The booking system allows users
to book airport or general transfers
in 85 countries and from 650
airports around the world in real time,
according to Guyck van Heerden, md
of EZ Shuttle.
Four months ago, EZ Shuttle
entered into a sole conjugant provider
partnership with international
aggregator GET-E. EZ Shuttle
exclusively sells its international
transfer products in South Africa with
GET-E distributing EZ Shuttle’s local
transfer services internationally.
“Agents and corporate users do not
need to wait for confirmation of their
bookings, as these are delivered in
real time within the user environment.
This is not only a big value-add, but
also saves an enormous amount of
time,” says Guyck.
“What differentiates us is that
agents will not have to prepay for
transfer bookings but can book the
product in real time while making use
of their existing EZ Shuttle account
or billing option. We are piloting the
account system with selected agents
at present before releasing this
payment option more generally to the
market,” he adds.
EZ Shuttle is the largest passenger
transfer provider in South Africa, with
a fleet in excess of 180 vehicles,
according to Guyck. The company
has been operating for 13 years and
services more than 11 cities around
South Africa. Locally EZ Shuttle’s
fleet includes sedan vehicles, larger
MPV-based vehicles seating up to
13 passengers, Mercedes Sprinters
seating 22, and a blend of luxury and
semi-luxury coaches with 37- and
60-seat configurations, all of which it
owns and manages directly.
EZ Shuttle services are also
available in Amadeus and the
company offers commission to
agents. He adds that the company
is also in the process of integrating
its services with other online booking
tools.
Other advantages are the company’s
24-hour call centre service, which
Guyck says greatly reduces service
issues when working with clients in
different time zones. He adds that
the company only has a two-hour
cancellation period for transfers – the
only exception being long-distance
transfers and big groups.
