Virgin Voyages announces Miami terminal
VIRGIN Voyages has unveiled plans for a new terminal at PortMiami.
Virgin’s first ship, Scarlet Lady, plans to start using the terminal
from November 2021. Bookings for Virgin’s inaugural season
will open on February 5 for those with pre-sale deposits, and on
February 14 for the general public. Virgin said its second ship would
be based in Miami from spring 2022.
MSC Cruises reveals 2021 world cruise
MSC Cruises has opened sales for its 2021 World Cruise. The MSC
Poesia will sail on a 119-day journey around the globe, departing
on January 5, 2021. The cruise line has also revealed details of
its two new Cirque du Soleil at Sea shows created exclusively for
guests aboard MSC Bellissima. Guests will be treated to two shows,
six nights a week in The Carousel Lounge, where they will enjoy
culinary experiences while watching the show.
Port Canaveral signs for new cruise terminal
THE Canaveral Port Authority Board of Commissioners has awarded
Ivey’s Construction a $79 million (R1bn) contract for the Port’s
Cruise Terminal 3 project and a $30 million (R416m) contract for
the adjacent 1 800-vehicle parking garage. Cruise Terminal 3 will
welcome the 180 000-ton ‘XL-class’ Mardi Gras, currently under
construction in Finland.
