Singapore Airlines has released a statement reiterating that it has cancelled one return service – SQ481 from Johannesburg to Singapore on April 1 – following a drop in demand as a result of the Covid-19 (coronavirus) outbreak.
Yesterday’s (February 19) story on eTNW stated that flight SQ481 from Johannesburg to Singapore on April 1 is one of 650 cancelled flights, including select services to New York, Los Angeles, Seattle, Frankfurt, Paris, Copenhagen and London, to name a few.
“We have been inundated with calls from agents thinking we have cancelled many flights exiting Johannesburg. SQ 481 and SQ 482 on April 1 between SIN/JNB/SIN have been cancelled. This is the only flight affected between South Africa and Singapore. All other flights are operating as per the schedule,” a representative for the airline said.
