National
strike action is due to take place on today (June 8) and will affect Air
Traffic Control and ground handling services.
British
Airways said the strike would impact flights to and from Rome, Venice and Milan
Linate."Some
flights could face disruption.We have therefore introduced a
more flexible rebooking policy to help affected customers travel on alternative
dates and avoid the strike action."
BA
said it would also be using larger aircraft on other services to and from Italy
to help any affected customers from cancelled services.
Flybe
has cancelled Milan flights to and from Manchester, Cardiff and Birmingham.
Alitalia
has cancelled dozens of flights, including its London services.
