American Airlines will cut flights on several long-haul routes this year due to ongoing delays in the delivery of Boeing aircraft. The airline’s decision impacts several routes, with reductions in frequencies and suspensions.
“As a result of ongoing Boeing 787 delivery delays, American is adjusting service on certain routes in summer 2025 to ensure we are able to re-accommodate customers on affected flights,” the airline said in a company memo shared on social media.
The airline will reduce frequencies from Philadelphia to Rome and Dallas/Fort Worth to Honolulu from twice a day to once a day from June to August this year.
Flights from Miami to Paris will be suspended in June and July.
Frequencies between Dallas/Fort Worth and New York to London will be suspended in May, flights between Dallas/Fort Worth and Frankfurt will be suspended in June and flights between New York JFK and Madrid will be suspended in July.
