AIRLINK and FlySafair’s
Competition Tribunal
hearing has been
postponed to December.
The hearing was requested
by the airlines after the
Competition Commission did
not approve Airlink’s request
to purchase FlySafair in
February, citing potential
future competition in the
market.
The initial date for
the hearing was set for
July 5-10.
Kirby Gordon, head of
sales and distribution for
FlySafair, said the airlines
remained optimistic about
the potential outcome of the
hearing. “In the meantime
we are continuing with
business as usual, growing
our business, managing
our customer service and
on-time performance while
looking for new opportunities
to take advantage of.
