From January 2025, Air France will trial a buy-on-board food and drink menu for short- and medium-haul flights.
Currently, the carrier provides a free drink and sandwich, snack or pastry in economy class in short- and medium-haul flights, depending on the duration. Passengers can also buy à la carte meals up to 24 hours before departure.
From January, the optional paid catering system will be implemented on flights from Paris-Charles de Gaulle to Helsinki and Lisbon, reports EuroNews.
Economy-class passengers will still receive free water or a hot drink, and a small sweet or salty snack. Business-class passengers will not be affected by the change, and will still receive a complimentary meal with a hot or cold drink or an alcoholic beverage.
