A new multimodal app, Floya, allows travellers to view integrated information about all the various modes of transport available in Brussels.
Passengers who need to use an e-scooter to reach a tram, or catch a metro to reach a car-share meet point, have until now needed to use multiple apps and multiple payment methods to make their trip.
Now the Floya app brings together information on the many mobility offers in Brussels on one platform, a first in the country, according to brusselstimes.com.
The app includes real-time information about travel on foot, by bicycle, e-scooter, bus, tram, metro, train, shared car and taxi. Users can look up routes according to their preferences and pay for tickets or book shared e-scooters, bicycles or cars on the app.
The app is a part of STIB and Brussels Mobility’s goal to encourage people to reduce the use of private cars by providing alternative options in a more accessible and visible way.
