Amid the devastating impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the travel industry, some travel companies used the downtime to polish up and improve their product offering.
Tourvest Travel Services (TTS) is one company that took the time to improve its technology offering. The company has now launched new solutions to simplify travel management, like the improvements to its TravelIT platform.
The platform now has a comprehensive expense management solution named WeExpense, and a brand-new ConferenceIT online conference management solution. These solutions are designed to streamline travel processes. Tourvest played its cards close to its chest concerning its ConferenceIT online conference solution, but it furnished Travel News with some details of WeExpense.
WeExpense is a travel management solution powered by TravelIT, which will improve the overall travel and expense management experience for customers. It helps users submit accurate expenses in real time, helping with a transparent workflow process and simple finance solutions to manage the entire expense management process. The programme strives for simplicity, saving time and money, and mobility.
Moreover, TTS has integrated the expense management solution with its mobile app, aiming to make travel management easier and more convenient.
“Our goal has always been to simplify travel for our customers,” says Morne du Preez, CEO of TTS. “We’re thrilled to introduce these new solutions, which will not only make travel easier, but also provide valuable insights and savings for businesses and individuals.”
Looking past recovery
In the post-pandemic world, in the wake of the downsizing experienced across the industry, Tourvest has now re-employed 30% of its staff and is set to increase this number in the coming months.
In 2021, TTS upskilled 35 of its employed staff with various accredited learnerships and empowered 17 youth and people with disabilities. In 2022, TTS again upskilled 34 of its staff in leadership qualifications and again assisted 17 youth with disabilities within the learnership programmes.
Du Preez adds that TTS is excited about its upcoming, continued growth in the post-COVID world.
