At the centre of the Tignes ski area in France in Val Claret, the new Club Med Tignes brings sport and adrenalin together in a family-friendly ski resort, suited to every skill level. The ambience is light-hearted, right down to the decor where colours and patterns add pizazz to the traditional mountain features.
There are 430 rooms of various types (Deluxe, Superior, Suite Exclusive Collection) and two restaurants. The resort is at an altitude of 2 100m and the ski domain has 300km of slopes – 21 of them are green slopes, 67 blue, 41 red and 29 black.
The resort is designed to limit energy consumption. Insulation, heat pumps, semi-automated building control, solar panels and an innovative heat recovery system in the showers all contribute to the sustainability effort.
As part of the company’s commitment to reducing its environmental impact, all resorts are progressively banning single-use plastic products from bars, restaurants and rooms in accordance with the Club Med ‘Bye-Bye Plastics’ programme.
Kids between four months and 17 years are catered for in the Kids’ Club. Children aged under four stay free at Club Med’s ski resorts.
