EgyptAir has launched four flights a week between Cairo and Tel Aviv.
Egypt Air flies twice a week between JNB and CAI. The Sunday night flight from Johannesburg connects well in Cairo with the flight to Tel Aviv the following morning. On the return leg, the Thursday flight out of Tel Aviv connects well with the Thursday night flight from Cairo to Johannesburg.
MS840 departs Johannesburg at 21h45 on Sundays, arriving in Cairo at 05h35 the following day. The connecting flight to Tel Aviv, MS591, departs Cairo at 08h55 on Mondays (connecting time three hours, 20 minutes), and arrives in Tel Aviv at 11h15.
Flight MS594 departs Tel Aviv at 19h50 on Thursdays and arrives in Cairo at 20h15. MS839 then departs Cairo at 23h10 (connecting time two hours 55 minutes) and arrives in Johannesburg at 07h10 the following day.
Travellers originating in South Africa are currently not allowed to enter Israel, except for citizens, residents and certain classes of visa. Those individuals have to quarantine on arrival.
