After nearly 30 years of service, World Travel, a division of Bidvest Travel Holidays and GSA for rail in Southern Africa, will cease operations from March 31.
According to a statement, the decision is in response to evolving consumer preferences and industry trends, and will enable Bidvest Travel Holdings to refocus efforts in other strategic areas.
World Travel advises agents:
- For new bookings, from April 1, agents are encouraged to create their profiles on the Rail Europe B2B portal to continue facilitating train bookings for Europe.
- All bookings ticketed by World Travel up to March 31 will be supported by World Travel until travel is completed.
- The World Travel team will manage refunds and exchanges for existing bookings until December 15.

For bookings outside Europe, World Travel has provided contacts for direct bookings:
