The Club Travel Group has launched Club Holidays, a new in-house tour operator.
The press release says Club Holidays will play a fundamental part in adapting to travel’s ‘new normal’ and in providing a complete product offering where gaps may otherwise be evident.
Tracey Visscher, Club Holidays product manager, told Travel News that Club Holidays will not try to cut out or compete with other suppliers. “We’re finding our own niche markets, and we will still very much be working with other operators. We are aggregating all our supplier content, along with our own, in one place, and agents will book directly with operators or ourselves when applicable.”
“Right now we’re doing well domestically, selling for future domestic leisure travel. When international travel eventually opens up again, we have operators overseas we will be working with.”
She said Club Holidays wouldn’t be incentivising Club Travel agents specifically with the product, but would instead appeal with its content and service at competitive pricing, and by offering commissionable rates.
Jo Fraser, executive manager: Club Travel franchise, said the focus was on the survival and growth of Club’s affiliates and ITCs’ businesses. “By making use of our contracting, industry relationships and product development experience, we have ensured that group members and affiliates have access to the very best travel packages and deals, along with the necessary distribution technology, which ensures they remain relevant to their customers.”
