VIRGIN Atlantic’s Economy
Delight is now available for
booking as a through-fare.
The product can now be
purchased from domestic
points of sale with Virgin’s
partner interline airlines, SAA,
BA Comair and kulula.com,
and is available in the SME,
nett and published markets
for agents.
“We have worked hard to
open this up to agencies,
who can now offer this
product to passengers
connecting from domestic
points in South Africa,” says
Darrin Thomas, marketing
and communications
manager of Virgin Atlantic
Airways in South Africa.
Through-fares allow baggage
to be checked all the way to
the final destination and offer
the most competitive pricing
available in the market on
that specific routing, he says.
Economy Delight is part of
Virgin’s ‘3 New Ways to Fly’,
which was launched in 2018
and offers customers three
different economy offerings –
Classic, Light and Delight.
The Delight option offers
seats with 86cm of leg-room,
priority check-in and boarding,
a luggage allowance of one
bag of 23kg as well as free
seat selection at any time.
Darrin says passengers
enjoy the Delight offering,
with the airline seeing a
steady uptake in bookings.
