Ann Braun was born and brought up in Edinburgh before moving to the then Rhodesia. There she met her future husband, Deryck, who was a pilot with Central African Airways. They moved to Dublin where Deryck flew for Aer Lingus for 18 years before deciding that the weather in South Africa had to be better than the long, damp Irish winters! They have two sons, Guy and Nicholas, and three grandchildren, Jake, Sandy and Tilly.
Ann has worked for Now Media for 24 years as a sub editor and production editor for Travel News Weekly and Southern African Tourism Update.
