Windstar Cruises’ newest ship, Star Seeker, will debut in 2026 and embark on voyages to Alaska and Japan.
From May until August 2026, Star Seeker will sail between Juneau, Seward, and Vancouver on seven-, 10- and 11-day itineraries. The itineraries will offer a land excursion to Denali, home of a national park and the highest mountain in North America, Denali.
Guests on the Alaska cruises will have dedicated excursion leaders as they hike and kayak through areas such as the Misty Fjords. The guides will also provide presentations on Alaskan history, culture, flora and fauna.
After departing Alaska in August 2026, Star Seeker will sail to Japan to offer its popular Grand Japan 10-day itinerary which journeys between Tokyo and Osaka. The ship will remain in Japan during November.
Windstar plans to have Star Seeker’s new deployment details, including Alaska and Japan, bookable from early August this year.
Windstar last sailed to Alaska and Japan in 2023 before redeploying Star Breeze to sail year-round in Tahiti. The line is represented by Cruises International in the South African market.
