Virgin Atlantic and Delta both report that on July 15 they are returning to their ‘home’ in Heathrow Terminal 3, which has been closed for over a year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The airlines say that customers can once more look forward to their signature flair, seamless check-in and award-winning facilities. Virgin Atlantic Upper Class and Flying Club Gold members as well as Delta’s eligible customers can once again enjoy access to Virgin’s award-winning Clubhouse Revivals lounge and Upper Class Wing in that terminal.
Clubhouse offers complimentary à la carte menus in five-star dining style, smaller tapas dishes, meats and cheeses from the deli and afternoon tea. A wide selection of wine, cocktails and soft drinks are also available. Clubhouse has several relaxation spaces, such as the library or restaurant, or outside, on the roof terrace. To ensure a seamless experience, lounge customers can order from a web-based ordering system via a QR code at their seat. The app will feature the whole menu and customers can simply place their order which will be delivered to their seat, wherever they are sitting. Those who prefer, will receive a single-use printed menu and order via the Clubhouse’s waiter service.
Several Virgin Atlantic destinations, including Antigua, Barbados, Grenada and Israel, are classified as ‘Green’ on the UK Government’s travel list. Customers arriving on those flights are not required to self-isolate on their return. (Unfortunately, customers arriving on flights from South Africa and other Red List countries will have to go through the ‘Red List Terminal’, which has been moved to Terminal 4.
Delta is operating non-stop services between Heathrow and both Atlanta and New York JFK, however US entry restrictions for non-essential travellers from the UK still apply.
