Royal Caribbean International (RCI) has announced details of its Ultimate World Cruise, set to take passengers through more than 60 countries around the world from December 2023-September 2024.
The 274-night “world cruise of world cruises”, according to Michael Bayley, CEO of RCI, visits seven continents and 11 world wonders.
Casablanca, Morocco, Qaqortoq, Greenland, and Shimizu, Japan, are among 57 destinations that are included in the itinerary, to which RCI has never sailed before.
The expedition will be split into four parts, from which cruisers can choose if they do not want to take part in the entire itinerary. All four itineraries will be done on RCI’s Serenade of the Seas.
The ‘Round the Horn: Americas and Antarctica’ segment cruises from North America down to Antarctica and back again from December 10, 2023-February 11, 2024.
‘Wonders of Asia and the Pacific’ sets sail for Australia and the Far East from February 11-May 9. It includes China and India before leading into ‘Middle East Treasures and Marvels of the Med’ from May 9-July 10, which takes passengers around the Northern shores of Africa and into the Middle East, visiting Jordan, Egypt, and Rome.
The final quarter of the World Cruise departs from Barcelona on July 10 and docks in Miami, Florida, on September 10.
Bookings are already open. Packages range from US$54 899pps (R826 000) to US$111 999pps (R1,68m).
