The United Arab Emirates has made its casino and gambling regulations public and has begun granting licences for gaming operators.
A regulatory body was formed by the government in September last year, as reported by Travel News.
The first lottery licence has been awarded and the licensing framework is now operational, opening the door for the possibility of casinos. According to Skift.com, Wynn Al Majan Island, a resort expected to open in 2027, is expected to be the first to receive a gaming licence.
