Travel clinics bursting at the seams

SINCE launching in May last year - and seeing approximately 142 patients a month - South African Airways (SAA)-Netcare Travel Clinics have exceeded "all expectations" in their growth, recording an average of 750 patients per month.
This according to general manager of SAA-Netcare, Judith van Niekerk, who told Travel Now, the demand has led to an expansion of two of its clinics.
"The SAA-Netcare Travel Clinic in Cape Town will be relocating to the Western Cape Tourism Information Centre in October this year. The venture is the first of its kind in South Africa, where tourism, local authorities, government and the private healthcare industry will join forces. This will ensure that the international and domestic traveller has everything on hand for an enjoyable, healthy trip."
Furthermore, the Linksfield Park Clinic in Johannesburg will be relocating to the newly-built doctors' suites adjoining the clinic early next year.
The new clinic will also appoint an extra travel health consultant and will feature two consultation rooms and a spacious reception area.
