TAAG Angola Airlines will add a fourth European route when it returns to the United Kingdom later this year.
The airline will begin operating flights between its hub in Luanda and London Gatwick Airport from December 14, reports Airspace Africa.
Flights will operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, with return flights the next day. A 293-seat Boeing 777-300ER aircraft configured with 12 seats in first class, 56 in business class, and 225 in economy class will be used.
According to Simple Flying, transit passengers are expected to be vital for TAAG’s London operations. Cape Town, Johannesburg, and Windhoek collectively had approximately 470 000 passengers travelling to London between January and July 2023.
