Club Travel is capitalising on synergies created through its integration with Travelstart and has launched a new suite of technology options to help Club partners digitise and automate their travel agencies.
Club Travel was purchased by the TravelLab (TLG) Group (which owns Travelstart) late last year. When lockdown began it accelerated its plan to begin integrating the two groups.
Club Travel’s executive manager: Franchise, Jo Fraser, told Travel News that the two companies had been hard at work during this time developing products that would enable Club Travel partners to make use of Travelstart-powered technology to restart the engine of their businesses post-Covid.
“The new offering is two-fold. Not only are we able to create online footprints for our partners by building customised websites for them that incorporate the Travelstart widget (online booking platform), Club Holidays’ content feed of 300-plus local and international packages, secure online payments and more; but we have also developed a CMS (Content Management System) that will speed up and automate agency processes,” said Jo.
Key features of the CMS include a professional quoting and invoicing tool which gives consultants access to a wide aggregation of negotiated airfares, accommodation, car rental, activities and ancillary services. The CMS also assists with online reporting to track agency performance; back-office automation and an efficient lead engagement and management tool. The tool is also accessible through a cloud-based system for consultants on the go.
Affordability of this offer was also extremely important, as Club understood the financial position of the industry at present, said Jo. She explained that the full suite of technology options was available from R199 per month for the next two months, as part of Club Travel’s launch promo. This includes the development of a customised agency website, access to Club Holidays’ package feed and access to the new CMS system.
Jo said the group had already seen a lot of interest in the new products, but the offering was exclusively available for Club Travel partners.
